This book, which includes - among other texts - an essay by the renowned psychoanalyst and philosopher&,nbsp,Julia Kristeva and a new, extensive interview with Hayward Gallery Director Ralph Rugoff - will focus on a key selection of the artist’s creative output from the past fifteen years, highlighting his development of new, strikingly visceral forms of sculpture and painting. In these recent works Kapoor has explored both novel thematic concerns as well as preoccupations with spatial perception, and our experience of&,nbsp,presence and emptiness, surface and void, the known and the unknown, that have been central to his entire career. This exhibition will mark the artist's return to the Hayward Gallery, which presented the first UK survey of his work in 1998.
